Beijing Photo Gallery - Prince Kung's Mansion
This mansion was once the private residence of He Shen, a favoured minister during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty. It consists of the courtyard residence and accompanying gardens laid out on a north-south axis. After he was executed for corruption, the residence became the residence of Emperor Jia Qing's brother, and later Prince Gong. Today's mansion inherits its name from Prince Gong.

There were plenty of tour groups visiting the mansion in the late afternoon. The crowds got unbearable at times, so get there early in the morning!
