Taiwan Flag

A small canal extended from the harbour inland. The banks have been beautified and it seems to be a nice place for a stroll.

Under the canopy, an odd food stand would appear every now and then.

There was a huge line-up for this place, which appears to be traditional foods.

Jhongjheng Park is built along the hillsides overlooking the harbour. The climb up is not so bad.

A further walk down, I reached the Gooddess of Mercy, a tall statue facing the harbour that serves as a guiding point.

The Ershawan Gun Emplacement is a fortress that was built in the Qing dynasty. Today, only ruins remain of the various features, although the gate is still kept in good condition.

This well is not for the soldiers, but to store water to cool the cannons after use.
