Segovia Photo Gallery - Part 3

Toledo and Segovia are easy day trips from Madrid. After an exhausting outing in Toledo, I headed to Segovia the next day. Access was just as easy thanks to a high-speed train connection.

Satisfied with the views from the Alcazar, I headed back east towards the aqueduct, this time taking a different set of streets to look for a surprise. This part of town was not prominently featured in tourist brochures, and hence was deserted. But it gave a real sense of what the town was really about besides the tourist shops and souvenir stands.

The San Esteban has a 12th century tower just a short distance from Plaza Mayor.

The Romanesque Trinidad Church is tucked away on a quiet street.

I then continued back to Plaza Mayor for the Catedral.

Segovia isn't a very large town and a day trip was perfectly feasible. I returned to the high-speed train station by bus from the town centre for the short trip back to Madrid.
