Okinawa Nature Photo Gallery

Okinawa is a long island with a beautiful coast of blue waters and rolling hills.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is most famous for its whale sharks, which is the world's first to be successfully bred in captivity.

Here along the northern coast, it is still a tropical paradise. It was a lovely sunny day.

Driving back south towards Naha along the country roads, we stopped to view the setting sun. The whole process took only a few minutes but the beautiful colours lasted much longer.

Manzamo is an interesting rock formation that displays the powers of erosion.

Being surrounded by ocean, it's hard not to see seafood on the menu.

The local markets have plenty of fresh produce available.

These seafood-based dishes look very unhealthy, but taste delicious.
