While not as flashy as Dubai, Abu Dhabi has, in recent years, also tried to diversify away from oil and into tourism. But much of it is still under construction outside the downtown core, and getting around remains difficult unless you like to ride taxis all day. Nevertheless, there are a lot of new attractions to make your visit worthwhile. With Etihad trying, albeit not really succeeding, to be a transit hub, more tourists have arrived in recent years to explore what Abu Dhabi has on offer.
