Thonburi, located on the west bank of the Chaophraya River, has a sprinkle of attractions and is not as frequented by tourists as the east bank.Wat Rakhang occupies a lovely riverside location. Its name means "temple of the bells", which came from the 5 bells donated by King Rama I. It also has an 18th century wooden scripture library with original murals and a lot of gold-leaf paintwork.
