Located in Birmingham's southwest, Beacon Hill is the highest of 4 hills in Lickey Hills Country Park at 298m. This area became a holiday playground for Brummies a hundred years ago already, when trams ran to Rednal from the city centre.

Along Monument Lane is a lookout point with a beautiful skyline view. You don't need to hike very far or climb any steps to reach a huge rolling field with Birmingham right in front of you. However, you do need your own wheels to get up here, which is about a half hour drive from the centre.

There are a number of skyscrapers in Birmingham's city centre and international-branded hotels are well represented. Here are the views from one of them.
