Brussels Photo Gallery - Street Scenes

Although I'm not a big shopper and tend to travel light, I do like to browse around the shops that take the extra effort to creatively display their wares and attract people's attention. There are a lot of good examples at the upscale Galeries Royales Saint Hubert and around the Grand Place where there is a lot of footfall. The Galeries was actually a regeneration project that started in the 1830s to fix a poor neighbourhood. It was inaugurated with King Leopold I's attendance in 1847, joining other great European capitals who had such shopping arcades.
