Broadway was on the stagecoach route from London to Worcester, and has a a long and wide avenue with pretty honey-coloured buildings, culiminating in the hilltop Broadway Tower that was built in the late 1790s on Beacon Hill, which is 312m above sea level and overlooks the trading route.
Landscape designer "Capability Brown" created the tower for George William, the 6th Earl of Coventry who had 2 residences in Worcestershire. Entrepreneur Hans-Eugen Will played an instrumental role in developing the tower's tourism appeal in order to save it. His daughter continues the family vision today.
