Doha Metro Photo Gallery

Doha Metro opened in 2019 and currently (as of 2025) has 3 lines in operation. Using driverless trains, the system covers the key tourist attractions and the international airport with rock-bottom fares of 2 riyals (USD 0.55) per ride.

Trains offer spacious seating even in standard class. Beware that carriages are segregated with separate compartments for Gold class, women, and families, which are marked above the platform screen doors.

Some residential areas are not connected to the metro network, such as on The Pearl. Instead, there are free connecting buses that run from the metro station deep into these neighbourhoods.

With the intense summer heat, some bus stops even have air-conditioned shelters.
