Doha Photo Gallery - Msheireb Downtown

Msheireb Downtown is a new smart city built in the heart of Doha. Construction started in 2010 and it took a decade to complete over 100 buildings ranging from 3 to 22 stories. It's a huge area with many blocks of residential buildings, offices, hotels, and more. What makes it a bit more unique is the neighbourhood's walkability.

Environmentally-friendly concepts used to adapt to the desert climate include placing buildings to shade each other, recessed windows, solar panels, and planting native species that adapt to dry conditions.
