Guangzhou Photo Gallery - Taigucang Wharf

Located just a short distance downriver from historic Shamian, this wharf was built in the early 20th century by Swire with 3 T-shaped terminals. The various warehouses once stored goods such as grains, ceramics, sundry items, and resin. The site was damaged during World War II bombings but has been revitalized into a retail and dining destination today.
