Located across the river south of the historic city, Haizhu district is home to several temples and sights of interest. Shophouses with covered arcades line the streets, although redevelopments are under way that will transform the cityscape.

The leafy waterfront promenade was popular with residents out for a stroll on the weekend.
Zhujiang New Town's skyscrapers are visible further east. Visibility was quite good today.
