Harbin Photo Gallery - Public Transport

Harbin Railway Station is now a huge construction site as a new station is being built mimicking what the grand station used to look like. The main entrance is on the north side although it seems the interiors are complete. Inside, it was full of activity with a good number of high-speed trains.

Like many other Chinese cities, Harbin is on a subway building spree. There is 1 big subway line and a section of a 2nd line now open connecting Harbin West station. The main Harbin station is not on the subway line yet, and getting there from the city centre requires a short bus ride. The subway system is woefully inadequate for the city's population, and pales in comparison to other cities further south of similar size.
