Restart! Beyond Gaming Exhibition explores the golden age of video gaming in the city from the 1970s onwards.
Located in the arrivals hall, you don't need to pre-book or have a plane ticket out of the city to visit. You get to see old game consoles and game cartridges from the likes of Atari to Nintendo.
In the 1970s, Atari's console "Pong" was popular globally, and Hong Kong was a major manufacturing centre for the industry. As Nintendo launched its red and white console in 1983, it prompted local entrepreneurs to develop local clones in the 80s and 90s since the Japanese version did not work on Hong Kong televisions.
There are also a few arcade games on display. These were once everywhere around the city and a popular youth hangout. However, there was social stigma that these places would attract undesirable peoples, so enthusiasts developed converters to bring the arcade experience to your television.

Downstairs, there was a crowd lining up to get into the Joguman pop-up shop. There are a few installations inside and outside the mall, with a 6m-tall Mega Brachio. Joguman is part of the Line Friends family of characters.
