Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Sir Cecil's Ride Hike

In the hills above North Point, Quarry Bay, and Tai Hang is Sir Cecil's Ride, a hiking trail stretching over 8km long that offers panoramic views of the harbour. It's a fairly easy trail and well worth the effort to climb up.

I started my journey next to the Quarry Bay Public Library, which is just a stone's throw from the Monster Building. Head uphill along the paved Mount Parker Road until you see the intersection with the Wilson Trail and take the staircase up. Alternatively, if you don't mind walking a bit more, Sir Cecil's Ride will intersect Mount Parker Road further uphill.

There are openings along the way to the Braemar Hill lookout platform. They face primarily north and east towards Quarry Bay's skyscrapers and the eastern part of the harbour, with Kai Tak and Kwun Tong on the other side.

Continuing west, the trail stays above the city towards Jardine's Lookout, which is home to another popular viewpoint, the Red Incense Burner Summit. However, Sir Cecil's Ride also has openings here and there with the main skyline view.
