Hong Kong Photo Gallery - Kai Tak Cruise Terminal 2025

While the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal opened in 2013, it has been under-used with insufficient public transport connections to the rest of the city. Nevertheless, it sits on a valuable piece of waterfront real estate and the top deck is a large park with very nice skyline views. Even if you don't have a cruise to catch, it is still worth coming here for the view. I practically had the entire space all to myself on a sunny summer day.

At the tip of the former airport runway, the terminal is surrounded by water on 3 sides with Kwun Tong and east Kowloon on this side and an emerging residential area on the 4th.

The government is trying to redevelop the industrial areas into a new cheaper commercial district alternative. Some financial services companies have added offices here such as Citibank and JP Morgan.

On the other side is the main harbour and skyline stretching all along the Island side from Central to Shau Kei Wan. While you can't get right to the edge of the building and the railings are in the way, the views are otherwise unobstructed.

Across the harbour, Kowloon's less touristy and gritty areas are also visible.
