Farewell Volvo Super Olympian (The Final Night)

The last KMB Volvo Super Olympian retired on March 8, 2023. LV 8402 ran on route 7M for most of that day until changing to run 11D to Kwun Tong for its last service late that evening. This bus was the last for the operator with a periscope, where the driver peers through a hole above the seat to observe the upper deck's activity through a mirror mounted on the top right side. Newer buses are now equipped with CCTV. Plenty of bus enthusiasts were on hand at Lok Fu terminus to capture the bus and also take it on the short journey to Chuk Yuen Estate. The large crowd moved to Kwun Tong's ferry pier, the end of the line, where the bus stopped for photos before heading back to the garage for retirement at around 11:30pm.
