Kwun Tong is one of the oldest districts in Kowloon. Covering 1130 hectares, it is home to over 630,000 people. While the town centre is a congested, busy, and noisy urban jungle, the side streets nearby were serene residential neighbourhoods, some with harbour views even. | |||
Ngau Tau Kok Road and its neighbouring side streets rising uphill are full of older buildings and the odd redevelopment here and there.
These grittier neighbourhoods have plenty of street-level retail and many smaller independent shops.
