Kristiansand - Living in the City

Kristiansand was founded in 1641 by King Christian IV, who ruled both Norway and Denmark. It quickly became a major seaport and was my base to explore the southern coast. The city centre is small and the attractions are easily reachable on foot. There aren't that many things to do here but it's a good base to continue exploring the various towns nearby.

I saw quite a lot of residential areas in the city centre, and with water surrounding 3 sides, a lot of residents can enjoy beautiful views. Let's start with the few blocks just east of Bystranda beach.

The eastern waterfront also has several marinas where you can walk from your home to your yacht in minutes.

There is also a small group of new residential buildings next to Kunstsilo, which have a commanding view of the city's skyline and port.
