Bourdon Street Chippy (September 2025)

Tucked on a side street in upscale Mayfair behind from the luxury brands is a fish and chips shop. Open for only 6 weeks, all of its decor are artworks made from fabric, which you can purchase to bring home.

British artist Lucy Sparrow unveiled this exhibition in August with over 65,000 hand-crafted felt pieces on display, ranging from art on the walls, food on the table, to the soft drinks in the vending machine. There are 15 chip shapes and each item is made in great detail.

Lucy has struggled with anorexia since her teenage years. Art became her outlet and motivation to recover.

You enter into the shop's seating area, with plates of fish and chips and their friends on the tables. Too bad we couldn't sit in the booths to try them all!

The next room is the actual counter where you order the food with a price list if you want to bring any of the items home.
