Following its success at their Selfridges pop-up store that opened in 2024, Jellycat opened another at Harrods in October 2025 with an airline theme. My first visit on a December weekend was not successful with immense crowds and visitors need to queue at an entrance across on the other side of the building to get a ticket to go into the shop. I tried again on a subsequent weekday and there were no longer restrictions to go in. Jellycat opened its first studios in London in 1999 and has previously hosted these types of experiences in New York and Paris. Founded by brothers Thomas and William Gatacre, the name came from Thomas' son who loved jelly and cats. Their products are now sold in over 75 countries and have a large adult following especially among Gen-Z and millennials.
