London's major train stations are good places to spot Christmas trees. King's Cross has a Harry Potter theme, rightfully chosen as it is home to the infamous platform 9 3/4. At the base is a shop and display windows.Neighbouring St. Pancras station International has a 12m-tall tree themed "Powered by Dreams" that explores a child's imagination with musical booths at the base. 30 craftspeople spent over 1800 hours to create this piece of work, which is decorated with 158 baubles and 180m of fairy lights. At Coal Drops Yard, there is a Norwegian spruce Christmas tree as well as a 11m-tall lighting installation at Lewis Cubitt Square behind it. There is a circular skating rink and Christmas market at Leicester Square, which has unique marshmallow roasting stations that double up as warming huts. There is also a skating rink at Somerset House inside its courtyard, with a 40-foot Christmas tree to remind you it's the festive season. Burlington Arcade has the grandest displays of the arcades along Piccadilly. All along its stretch are different decorations hung above you. Upscale retailers and the nicer malls also put in an extra effort on their storefront displays. The big luxury brands were not shy to outdo each other in extravagance all along New Bond Street, so be sure to drop by after checking out the holiday windows at the big department stores on Oxford Street. Ralph Lauren has decorated Sloane Square into a miniature Christmas market with lights, drinks, and more. In support of a cancer charity, you can also dedicate a star on their tree to honour a loved one. The Duke of York Square nearby has been decorated with over 30,000 illuminated white roses. Also in support of cancer charity, you can dedicate a rose in the Ever After Garden with a recommended 15 pound donation. The first such garden was founded in 2019 at Grosvenor Square, and since then, over 1.2 million pounds have been raised for the charity. Neighbouring streets around Chelsea and Victoria also have lights above the streets as well.
