Macau Photo Gallery - Government House

The Palacio do Cercal was built in 1849 as a luxury residence. It changed into government hands in 1881 and became the Governor's office in 1884. After Portuguese rule ended in 1999, the building became the government headquarters.

The building is open to the public on a few rare days a year for a peek at the facilities inside.

Matching the exterior colours, a pink staircase leads to large reception rooms upstairs.
