Milan Photo Gallery - Climbing up the Duomo

Construction is believed to have started in the late 14h century and continued for the next few hundred years. Its incredibly-detailed facade has 135 spires and 3400 statues with the interior large enough to house the entire city's population. It is the third largest church in Europe but the square outside has been ruined by groups of people selling pigeon feed and trying to rip people off.

It's possible to climb to the rooftop and go on a photo-taking frenzy from above the city. The energetic can take the stairs, while the lazy ones can pay a little more for the elevator.
