Outremont also has many historic homes. It would be a pleasant walk had it not been so cold. The homes are not as nice as Square St Louis but some side streets looked beautifully uniform. It was a bit too cold to walk all the way from Outremont to Plateau Mont-Royal, so with the help of buses and my sturdy running shoes, I arrived at the Laurier metro station to explore the Plateau area. This part of town also has many rowhouses featuring the city's famous staircases. I came looking for these famous curved staircases amongst the lowrise residential rowhouses. They look far different from those in Boston and New York.
