Bonifacio Global City was once part of the American military base. Fort McKinley became the Philippine Army's headquarters after independence and has since been redeveloped into civilian use. Today, it is a new business district with wide sidewalks, modern skyscrapers, plenty of clean eateries and malls.
It's not wall-to-wall skyscrapers. There is still plenty of land to develop.
The Shangri-La Hotel is a tall landmark to keep your bearings straight.
Many murals have been painted on buildings to stir up interest and tourism.
A pedestrian-only park forms an axis across the district.
Many streets are numbered or alphabeticized.
The rooftop bar at the Seda Hotel primarily faces away from BGC, with the bay and mountains visible on this sunny day.
BGC has an emerging skyline, but not too dense yet.
