My 2-week Iberian peninsula adventure began in Porto, my 2nd visit to Portugal after a very memorable trip to Lisbon in 2008. With plenty of historic architecture and low prices on everything, Portugal's 2nd largest city also has something unique - wineries in the city centre. I'm a big fan of port wine, which comes from here and I often order it on my Business Class flights.I allocated almost 2 full days to Porto, staying at an international budget hotel within a short walk from the historic centre for only 45 euros a night. With such a short time frame, I could only do the highlights, such as walking around the historic centre and visiting a few churches and vantage points. Detailed visits into museums would have to wait for next time. I've numbered my walks in different colour codes below with the corresponding photo pages.
