Shanghai Photo Gallery - Xintiandi

Xintiandi is another shopping district with traditional alley homes. What makes it unique from the others is this is the first project to prove historical architecture can be commercialized successfully as opposed to destruction. Peer into the old days at the Shikumen Open House Museum, which is a 2-storey exhibition decorated for the 1920s and 30s. The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea was established in Shanghai to free Korea from Japanese colonial rule.
