Stockholm Photo Gallery - Arlanda Airport

Arlanda is the country's largest airport, serving over 22 million passengers in 2024. Construction began in 1952 and the first scheduled flight took off for New York in 1960. The airport was officially opened by the king in 1962 and international flights were moved here from Bromma, becoming the city's main international airport.

Expansions have taken place over the decades, with the international terminal (now Terminal 5) opening in 1976, the domestic terminal (now Terminal 4) opening in 1983, and the 2nd domestic terminal (now Terminal 2) opening in 1990.

It's a fairly nice airport to use with renovated facilities, a lot of windows to bring the natural light in, and even more restaurant options to grab a bite ahead of boarding.
