The old castle is still protected by a small water channel today.
Jinpukaku Mansion was the Ikeda family's home. Built in the French Renaissance style in 1907, it is now a museum. This would be a good pit stop en route to the castle ruins.
Tottori's castle overlooked the city from above until the Meiji Restoration. Only ruins remain today, including some walls and platforms.
