Just a short bus ride from Arendal's town centre (route 102) is Raet National Park, which covers 607 square km along the coast, including the sea. Created in 2016, the landscape stems from retreating glaciers from around 12,000 years ago that deposited stone, sand, gravel, and more.
Amidst this landscape, there are some summer houses that locals maintain to enjoy their little piece of coastline.
