Verona Photo Gallery - Arena, Teatro Romano, and Adige Riverfront

The Roman empire's greatest monument in the city is the Arena, which was once the 3rd largest in the empire. Built in the 1st century, it suffered damage in recent times from a major earthquake, but remains in great condition.

Although the Teatro Romano is a ruin today, the museum sits on top of a hill overlooking the town, providing wonderful views.

I walked a bit further down the Adige River, and it was a nice day to make the trek.
