Cardiff Downtown Photo Gallery

Cardiff's city centre is small and quite walkable. With blue skies, the streets were busy and vibrant.

Queen Street is a pedestrianized shopping area that topped a consumer survey as Britain's best high street in 2024. Originally called Crockherbtown, the street was renamed to honour Queen Victoria in 1886 and became pedestrian-only in the mid-1970s.

Neighbouring streets are also busy with lots of shops and restaurants. Besides the arcades, it's worth to do a quick round to see the historic architecture dotted here and there.
