Kuala Lumpur Photo Gallery - Hotel Views

Kuala Lumpur has some of the cheapest nice hotels among large cities in this part of Asia. With lots of them in skyscrapers, there is plenty of choice for your rooftop pool escape featuring a view.

The Mercure Trion is located in SE Asia's tallest hotel building south of the city centre. Rooms begin from the 38th floor upwards with an open-deck swimming pool on the 54th floor that oversees the skyline.

However, even the cheaper hotels can yield some surprisingly good views. At the Hilton Garden Inn in Chow Kit, their rooftop pool on the 25th floor has a view of KLCC.

The Pacific Regency Hotel has a nice rooftop pool offering views on 3 sides. It is not very tall but offers an economical alternative to paying for Menara KL next door.

Continuing my rooftop bar tour, G Hotel at the eastern end of KLCC is surrounded by skyscrapers but you can still edge a decent view except the Petronas Towers.

The Somerset has a good rooftop pool. Being away from the main skyscraper cluster, the density drop becomes quite evident.

The Grand Hyatt's lobby is a ride up and the restaurants serve decent food with a view.
