Kuala Lumpur Photo Gallery - Muzium Negara

Creating the Muzium Negara was the idea of Malaysia's 1st Prime Minister, Yang Teramat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. The site of the Selangor Museum was chosen, which was destroyed during World War II, and construction finished in 1963 with a design patterned after a Malay palace.

Trade between Asian empires flourished in these parts. Various Vietnamese artifacts from the 16th century are on display.
