The Tun Razak Exchange is a 70-acre redevelopment into modern offices, residences, hotels, and shopping mall. It is also home to the country's tallest building, the 452m Exchange 106.

Some 400 stores anchor the 1.3 million square foot shopping mall, which opened in November 2023. They comprise fancy high-end brands and more normal middle-class shops and restaurants, including the first Seibu in the country. A 10-acre rooftop park offers a green oasis and a good viewpoint of the new buildings.

With the state backing this redevelopment, the project was embroiled in the 1MDB scandal with about $4.5 billion earmarked for construction being diverted away, requiring the Ministry of Finance to step in to continue construction in 2018 in collaboration with Indonesian property developer Mulia Group.
