Marine Tower was built in 1961 to celebrate the port's 100th anniversary, and hosts an observation deck almost 100m above the city on the 29th and 30th floors.
With Landmark Tower closed for renovations, this is a good alternative to see Yokohama's skyline, the port, and you can even see Tokyo in the distance.
However, it was a bit unnerving as the tower shook quite a lot despite the sunny day and it was not windy on the ground. It's a fairly narrow tower but I've never experienced such obvious motions elsewhere, and it wasn't a passing earthquake as it persisted throughout my stay.

With a zoom lens, Tokyo's skyline is clearly visible. It's actually not a long train ride away.

There is still an active port here with a number of Coast Guard ships parked.

The waterfront has a long stretch of parkland that gets quite busy.

On the other side is a quieter residential area and hillside mansions that was once the Western quarter.
