
York Minster is an expensive place to visit. Their website claims it costs over 30,000 pounds a day to run it, and the price for a church entry ticket is 18.2 pounds if you're not local.This is Britain's largest Gothic building and seat of the Archbishop of York, the second most important in England after Canterbury. Its history dates back to the 7th century. There was a Roman basilica, Norman minster from the 11th century, and the current structure was built from the 13th to 15th century.
Let's head inside and see if the admission price was worth it ...
