Glasgow Photo Gallery

Looking a bit more gritty, run-down, and less glamorous than Edinburgh, Glasgow is actually Scotland's largest city and was once a ship-building and industrial mecca. Its set of grid streets downtown has many examples from its glorious Victorian era, although we can't see much from the medieval period anymore.

While overshadowed by its neighbour, I chose to base in Glasgow while commuting to Edinburgh thanks to cheaper hotels and good and frequent transport links. Nevertheless, I spent a morning exploring here as well and found a few nice surprises.

I last visited Glasgow in 2006 and have removed that photo set entirely. While I wasn't able to visit the university this time to update these galleries, I've added some new sections on places that I didn't visit last time.
